| "La Madriguera del Conejo""La Madriguera del Conejo" (2024), a short film by Quasar Studios in Peru made for the UNIFEST. Representing the "Universidad de Ciencias Y Artes de América Latina" (UCAL), it won the awards of "2nd Finalist to Best Short-Film", "Best Editing and post-production", "Best Production Design" as well as being the most nominated short film of the festival for various categories.

About the artist
Piero Ramirez is a film composer born in Perú, Lima and he came to the U.S. in 2019. He is currently a student in Pacific Lutheran University in the state of Washington pursuing a degree a Bachelor in Music Composition. He graduated from Tacoma Community College in 2021 with an Associates of Music Degree. Piero started his musical career playing guitar and bass guitar in his bedroom, and eventually joined "Tempo School of Music" in Lima, Perú in 2018 in which his musical career started by playing the alto saxophone. While studying in "Tacoma Community College" he discovered a love for composing and since then he decided to take music composition as a serious career path which eventually took him to the world of film score and dynamic audio for videogames which are currently his main areas of focus.
Piero Ramirez has worked on making music for short films made by Rose Windows studios, a student film studio in Pacific Lutheran University as well as with Quasar Studios from "Universidad de Ciencias y Artes de America Latina (UCAL)" in Peru in a short film that got second place in the UNIFEST, a student film festival from all regions of Peru. His adventure as an artist has taken him to game development as well, were he taught himself how to code and learnt to use tools for audio implementation in videogames such as Wwise and Fmod. Piero has developed a small game entirely by himself called the "The Paper Boat" using Unity and is currently in development of a second short game. |
Piero composition style is very versatile and is able to recreate any style of music desired by a client. Piero's main instrument is the alto saxophone, but he is also a pianist and bass guitar player. His passion for both music, films and videogames has inspired him to learn how to use synthesizers and digital music softwares like Cubase and FL Studio, which are the main tools he uses for creating music, and Sibelius to create his scores. Piero's music tries to reflects experiences that he has had through his life or telling stories that occur both in reality and in his imagination. |
